San Sebastian Day trip departs from from Bilbao or Biarritz.

Sitting on the Bay of Biscay, San Sebastian – that is to say Donostia in Basque – is 20 kms from the French border. This lovely coastal city in the Spanish Basque Country is often referred to as “the Pearl of the Atlantic Coast”. Discover the cosmopolitan culture as well as the elegant architecture of this Spanish Coast . This Basque city has been a popular destination for European aristocracy – for over 200 years! San Sebastian Day Trip is a great way to explore this marvelous coastline.

From Bilbao to San Sebastian, this private excursion is a great way to discover the Basque Country.

Departing from Bilbao, the San Sebastian Day Trip takes you along the North Atlantic Basque Coast of Spain. First we’ll stop on the cliffs above San Juan De Gaztelugatxe, after that we visit Bermeo and Mundaka. You’ll certainly be enchanted by these lovely Basque fishing ports. Mundaka, for example is home to a famous surfing spot.

From here we make our way to San Sebastian. First we’ll take an introductory driving tour of the city, then we’ll drive up to the Monte Igueldo. The view over the city is spectacular. After that we’ll head to the City’s Historic Center – the “Parte Vieja”. This is where you’ll find some of the best tapas bars in the city!

On the way back to Bilbao, we’ll take the scenic route along the rugged Basque coast from Zarautz to Zumaia – its spectacular!

From Bayonne, Biarritz, or Saint Jean de Luz to San Sebastian, this private excursion is a great way to discover the Basque Country.

Saint Jean de Luz: is a lovely little fishing port on the Basque coast just South of Biarritz. I’ll take you on a short walk through the center of town and point out some of the highlights. This is certainly a good place to shop for regional specialties as well.

After this short walk we’ll take the minivan and drive through Ciboure to Socoa, before following the Corniche Basque, along the rugged Atlantic coast.
