  • Mary Bonen: This tour with Christian exceeded all our expectations. We wanted to visit the Perigueux region for the day since my husband’s family was originally from this area. Christian prepared a wonderful itinerary beginning with a visit to the Cathedral and market in Perigueux. His commentary on the region included history and was interesting and informative. Christian then took us to Rouffignac for a visit to the caves–an amazing experience. We had a memorable day and highly recommend Christian.
  • Millie Tannen: Christian was just great. We feel so fortunate to have spent the day with him. We learned so much and enjoyed our time. Christian was very accommodating and very pleasant. Thank you Christian
  • Kristine Ellinson: Christian took us exactly where we asked to go, explaining various things along the way for another perfect day with him. 5 stars, once again!! We really enjoyed having Christian as our guide 4 different times on this trip to the Dordogne, and I would definitely recommend him.
  • Kristine and Santiago: We recently had a wonderful day with Christian up into the Basque country. He arranged the day so that we could see the countryside and smaller towns of this beautiful area and we enjoyed it very much. Christian has a great sense of humor, is quite knowledgeable about the area, the various languages here, as well as some of the customs. Delightful day with Christian. Full 5 stars.
  • Kathy Peterson: Very much appreciated Christian’s knowledge about the LaRochelle area and his flexibility to adapt our tour given the shortened length our cruise ship was in port. He kept us entertained on the hour drive to Cognac to visit the Hennessy Distillery with stories and facts
  • Carl Christian Ribe: I have had a wonderful trip to the Dordogne area. Christian was a very knowledgable guide. A walking historical encyclopedia for the region. Taking me through time and what has made and influenced this part of France. Christian is an experienced driver and brought me safely to our various destinations, constantly interrupted by my continuous flow of questions. When having a private tour, flexibility is crucial, Christian found the places I wanted to see and we stopped when interesting places were passed, like a wild boar, perfect. Christian has clearly done this many times before and knows what will make his clients happy. With me, who wanted to avoid culinary tourist traps, he secured a good restaurant, reasonably priced and we had an exquisite meal in Sarlat enjoying local dishes with good wine and staff eager to explain and advice on the menu, again perfect Christian is bi-lingual, a native American with a remarkable French vocabulary. I can whole heartedly recommend Christian and his guided tours, if you want to invest in a private guide, chose Christian. I will return and enjoy his tour of the Loire Valley. Carl Christian Ribe, Oslo Norway
  • Laura Jones: My group of six adults really enjoyed our day with Christian to the Dordogne Valley. The countryside is so beautiful! We loved our lunch stop in Sarlat and the late afternoon stop in Saint Emilion – would hope to revisit both some day. It is a long drive, however, so be prepared for close to five hours of windshield time. Christian was very personable, as well as very knowledgeable about the history of the Nuelle Aquitaine region.
  • James McMahill: Christian was a pleasure to spend the day with. He is a USA expat and so his English is perfect. We were staying in Toulouse and so were faced with a 2 hour drive to our destination and Christian found some beautiful back roads through lovely small towns and villages. He found a great restaurant in a hillside village with fantastic views. I would not hesitate to recommend Christian. Jim and Mary
  • Frank Braccia : Very accommodating tour guide with extensive historical knowledge of the various charming towns visited by our group.
  • Emily Talbert: Christian gave 5 of us a great day with lots of information and and sights to appreciate.
  • John Pappel: We had an awesome day touring the Dordogne valley. We visited a cave and the museum at Lascaux 4. Christian was a great guide, he has great local knowledge. We learned a lot about the areas history and a language . Although a long trip in the van, lively conversation and interesting sites rounded out a great day. I would not hesitate to book future trips with Christian.
  • Estelle Momrow: Wonderful area to visit and Christian tailored a tour perfect for our interest. He adjusted his schedule to meet us earlier than originally planned.
  • Theo Kauffman: Christian was simply fabulous! We were a large group, 24 of us total, and although I’m sure he hadn’t handled a group as large as us before, he really stepped up to the plate. Christian organized a wonderful and comprehensive tour of southern France for us that suited all of the age groups that we had with us. He is laid back but very attentive to detail and full of information about what we saw and a great storyteller. When we return to France we will most certainly use Christian again!
  • Mary Jane Burns: Christian was flexible with our last-minute itinerary changes, prompt in finding us at our Carcassonne hotel (not easy because car entry is restricted!), and made wonderful suggestions for stops on our way to the Toulouse airport (Les Tours castles, Albi cathedral and Toulousse-Lautrec museum). He is familiar with southern France and Basque Spain, and provides fascinating commentary about these areas. He is totally bilingual and has a comfortable van for touring. I recommend him without hesitation!
  • Yelena Melnikov: Great personality, knowledgeable, flexible with our requests. There were 6 of us being picked up from the ship in Bilbao on time , having good time in San Sebasti├ín
  • Charles Miller: Christian was very flexible with our tour with having a change in the place we docked and he picked us up in Bayonne to start the tour instead of St, Jean de Luz. Despite the rain, we had an enjoyable day driving through the region and having a nice lunch in the Pyrenees and an eventful ending in St. Jean-Pied-de-Port. Christian was very informative about the Basque way of life and would recommend this tour to experience the different sights the Basque region in France has to offer.
  • Michael Jahraus: Christian was very friendly. We requested help with researching my Wife’s Basque Heritage. Christian was most happy to do this and we plan to stay in contact with him to share information. Our sightseeing through the Basque countryside was beautiful. Christian was very knowledgeable with French and Basque history making the drive most enjoyable. I highly recommend a tour with Christian!
  • Peter Grimm : Knowledgable and pleasant guide who sets an itinerary based on client preferences. I would recommend Christian without reservation. Excellent overview of Chartres and LoireValley chateaux over 3 days.
  • Katherine Downing: Christian is an excellent guide and you cannot do better than this tour of the Loire castles. We took the train from Paris and Christian worked hard to maximize our time in the valley. He is very knowledgeable and great with families. Let him drive and you can just enjoy the beautiful scenery! Highly recommended.
  • Scott Erwin: Christian is great company to spend the day with. Very easy going. He knows his history and helped us understand the importance and significance of the Normandy region.
  • Mark Moore: Christian was GREAT!! We hired him for two days to drive us to the Loire Valley and the Champagne region. He was very knowledgeable and patiently answered our questions. We were traveling with my parents who are a little older and he was great and answering questions for them. My father’s hearing isnt the best, especially when you add an accent to the English. Christian being an American English speaker was invaluable in that regard because my Dad could understand what was being said! Use Christian!
  • Diane Goldman: We had 2 great days with Christian. He took us to Sarlat which was magical. Without him we never would have known about this great city. Next day was Bordeaux and St. Emilion. He was a delight and fun to be with.
  • Sterling Helwick Jr: We really enjoyed Christian’s tour. We saw many interesting sites along the way, especially the city of Sarlat. His commentary was very interesting, and it encouraged us to return again to this beautiful part of France.
